It’s been a long time I did one of these Friday 5 things. This one is all to do with mottos.

For those unaware, Friday 5 is a weekly blog prompt giving you five questions to answer. Below are the questions and my responses.

The motto of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus, which means, β€œNever tickle a sleeping dragon.” Using Google Translate to turn English to Latin, what would be the name and motto of a school you founded?

Quaeso, ne occidas, ut aranea. (Please don’t kill that spider.)

What is the motto of a school you attended, and how do you feel about its representing you (or about your representing it)?

The motto of my high school during the time I attended was, “Walk With Pride.” I guess I take that in a literal sense and try to make sure I’m always walking upright. πŸ™ƒ

From this list of university and college mottos, which will be yours for the coming weekend?

Nothing is too heavy for those who have wings .

Based strictly on its motto, which country should you be a citizen of?

Republic of Guinea-Bissau – Unity, Struggle, Progress.

Based strictly on its motto, which U.S. state, federal district, or territory should you probably stay away from?

New York – Ever upward. (I don’t like being up high. πŸ˜† )
